It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? From Picture Books to YA!
It's Monday! What are you Reading? is a meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journeys. It is a great way to recap what you read and/or reviewed the previous week and to plan out your reading and reviews for the upcoming week. It's also a great chance to see what others are reading right now...you just might discover the next “must-read” book!
Kellee Moye, of Unleashing Readers, and I decided to give It's Monday! What Are You Reading? a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children's literature - picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels, anything in the world of kidlit - join us! We love this meme and think you will, too. We encourage everyone who participates to visit at least three of the other kidlit book bloggers that link up and leave comments for them.
Please take note that the IMWAYR button has been updated to include Unleashing Readers.
In case you missed the announcement,
Kellee is now blogging at Unleashing Readers with Ricki Ginsberg.
We will be cohosting IMWAYR from now on.
Be sure to grab the updated button!
Last Week's Book Adventures:
Jen Says: I have no idea where the week went! It zoomed by last week. I've been reading but am in that weird in-the-middle-of-reading phase where I'm in the middle of too many books. I did finish listening to The Best Night of (Your) Pathetic Life by Tara Altebrando and started listening to Major Pettigrew's Last Stand by Helen Simonson which is an adult book. I haven't read or listened to an adult book in forever so I decided it wouldn't hurt to read one. I've been reading more of The Productive Writer and am a good way into The Real Boy by Anne Ursu. Last week I did read Falling Hard edited by Betsy Franco and loved diving into the minds of teenage poets!

Upcoming Book Adventures:
Jen Says: I'm really looking forward to this week because it's back to school for the 1st grader in my house! It's been a great summer but I know he's so ready to start a new school year and to see friends everyday and get back into a school schedule. My reading plan this week is to keep listening to Major Pettigrew, keep reading The Real Boy and The Productive Writer. I had to return Ungifted because the CD wasn't working but I have The Running Dream by Wendelin Van Draanen and The Splinders by Lauren Oliver so hopefully I'll get to one of them this week. Tonight is library night and I need to load up on picture books. Should be fun!
Check back throughout the week to hear about these books.
