TMT Book and Bookmark Swap Pictures!

Thank you to everyone who participated in our first every Book and Bookmark Swap here at Teach Mentor Texts! It has been fun to see all the pictures of books that people gave and received. Here are pictures of the books and bookmarks that were shared!

I am so excited about our book/bookmark swaps! Being able to share my favorite books and receiving the same gift from someone else- I am already looking forward to the next one! When I was choosing what to send, I couldn't decide. I automatically wanted to choose Hurt Go Happy because I think it is an underappreciated book; however, I then noticed that my partner, Laurie, had never read The Giver and loves other dystopic books. So, I decided to send them both! For book marks, I chose a red bookmark for The Giver (if you've read it, you know the significance) and for Hurt Go Happy I picked ape magnet book marks. I hope my partner really enjoys the books and bookmarks and received them.

As for what I received, I had a wonderful partner: Erin. She sent me The Girl Who Could Fly which I haven't read, butterfly magnet bookmarks to stick with the flying theme as well as a lovely letter . I cannot wait to get to the book (I have it on my summer pile) and I thank her so much for the thoughtful book, bookmarks and note.

It's Thursday morning and I haven't received a book and bookmark yet. Kellee and I talked about this when we first decided to host this swap. We asked people to commit to sending a book and bookmark because we wanted to make sure no one was left without. I'm okay with not getting one but I know there are others who didn't receive their and I think that's truly unfortunate. Big thanks to everyone who did follow through. I love seeing what others received and have definitely added some books to my TBR!

If you wrote your own blog post about the swap, please link up below.
Thank you to everyone who participated!
Check back for our next swap coming in April!
