It's Monday! What Are You Reading? 9/14/15

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? From Picture Books to YA!
It's Monday! What are you Reading? is a meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journeys. It is a great way to recap what you read and/or reviewed the previous week and to plan out your reading and reviews for the upcoming week. It's also a great chance to see what others are reading right now...you just might discover your next “must-read” book!
Kellee Moye, of Unleashing Readers, and I decided to give It's Monday! What Are You Reading? a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children's literature - picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels, anything in the world of kidlit - join us! We love this meme and think you will, too. We encourage everyone who participates to visit at least three of the other kidlit book bloggers that link up and leave comments for them.

Last Week's Book Adventures:
I'm still reading The Digital Writing Workshop and have been talking a lot with colleagues about digital writing. We're excited to use Google Sites for blogging and portfolios/sharing polished work this year! I'm still reading The Quirks - Quirkus Circus with Peanut and it's so fun to hear him laugh out loud at certain parts. I've been reading Katherine Applegate's Roscoe Riley Rules to Little Bean and Peanut made a connection between Roscoe Riley and his glue shenanigans and Finn from The Quirks and his booby traps. So fun!

I'm still reading This Book Is Gay and I'm halfway through The Marvels by Brian Selznick. I'm so excited to see how the stories intertwine and am intrigued so far! I think I'll be busy with reading this week!

Upcoming Book Adventures:
My plan for this week is to continue reading all the books I have going. I'm definitely going to finish The Marvels and This Book Is Gay so I can review them and then also work on finishing The Digital Writing Workshop, Quirkus Circus, and Roscoe Riley Rules!

This Week's Reviews:
And Interviews with Jim Averbeck and Josh Funk!
