Danielle over at There's a Book actually was one of the first book blogs I fell in love with. When I was still posting book reviews over at my personal blog she interviewed me for her When I Was Young series. I love her. She has given me so much support as a new blogger and I am so grateful for her guidance!
The other book blog I am shortlisted with is Playing by the Book. I had never visited this blog until I saw the long list for Book Blogger Appreciation Week and this is another great blog. I can tell she is an amazing mom and she has lots of great ideas for books and activities to go with them. This is a blog that I will undoubtedly be visiting myself as a teacher and a mom.
I am so happy that I decided to start Teach Mentor Texts. Being involved in the book blogging community has been such a great experience. I have loved participating in the fun book blogging events and meeting other book bloggers. I am thrilled to be shortlisted and even moreso to be shortlisted along with two other brilliant book blogs.
I definitely recommend looking at the list of book blogs nominated for BBAW 2010 to see all the other great blogs that are out there!
Congratulations! I don't read many "kidlit" blogs, but I enjoy yours because it's got the focus on teaching. :-)
