It's Monday! What Are You Reading? 03/11/2019

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? From Picture Books to YA!

It's Monday! What are you Reading? is a meme hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. It is a great way to recap what you read and/or reviewed the previous week and to plan out your reading and reviews for the upcoming week. It's also a great chance to see what others are reading right now...you just might discover your next “must-read” book!

Kellee Moye, of Unleashing Readers, and I decided to give It's Monday! What Are You Reading? a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children's literature - picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels, anything in the world of kidlit - join us! We love this meme and think you will, too. We encourage everyone who participates to visit at least three of the other kidlit book bloggers that link up and leave comments for them.

Last Week's Book Adventures:
We finished A Crooked Kind of Perfect. I cried. It was a good book to reread with my kids. We started The Honest Truth by Dan Gemeinhert. I started reading Megan Stielstra's Once I Was Cool and I've also been reading The Crossroads of Should and Must by Elle Luna which matches well with the episode of Don't Keep Your Day Job that I listened to week called "How to Get Clear on Your Desire". Both so good!

Upcoming Book Adventures:
I'll be reading more of Once I Was Cool and The Crossroads of Should and Must. A friend reminded me to go back to Cornelius Minor's book We Got This! and that it might be a good book to revisit.

  1. Oh my, I remember loving The Honest Truth. That was my first Dan Gemeinhert book. I also started a (new-to-me) Gemeinhert book this week, too -- Scar Island. All his books just really hit me hard in the heart. I think Some Kind of Courage is the only one I haven't yet read. And I really hope to get to read A Crooked Kind of Perfect after all you've shared. Have a wonderful reading week, Jen!

  2. Silver Meadows Summer looks very cool - and seems like a quick read, too! :)
