It's Monday! What Are You Reading? 1/31/2018

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? From Picture Books to YA!

It's Monday! What are you Reading? is a meme hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. It is a great way to recap what you read and/or reviewed the previous week and to plan out your reading and reviews for the upcoming week. It's also a great chance to see what others are reading right now...you just might discover your next “must-read” book!

Kellee Moye, of Unleashing Readers, and I decided to give It's Monday! What Are You Reading? a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children's literature - picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels, anything in the world of kidlit - join us! We love this meme and think you will, too. We encourage everyone who participates to visit at least three of the other kidlit book bloggers that link up and leave comments for them.

Last Week's Book Adventures:
I finished reading I'll Be There For You by Kelsey Miller. It was a great winter break read. It was more than behind the scenes of Friends and I'm glad it was! Towards the end, she talked about current issues and how the show was problematic but at the same time pushed the limits a bit.

Upcoming Book Adventures:
Happy New Year! I'm so excited for 2019! I've been reflecting on the year a lot and will have a reflection post up soon...and also a post up about my one little word for the year. I'm going to start the new year with reading The Lost Girl by Anne Ursu. What about you???

So, what are you reading this week?
Link up below and check out other blogs to see what they're reading!
To help build our community and support other bloggers,
we ask that you comment on at least three other blogs before you.
Also, if you tweet about your Monday post, don't forget to use #IMWAYR!

  1. Starting with Endling, The Last by Katherine Applegate, fascinating so far! Happy New Year, Jen!

  2. I think I'll hit a couple ARCs I have recently received in the mail: WATCH US RISE by Renee Watson & Ellen Hagan and UNLEAVING by Melissa Ostrom (Ostrom's THE BELOVED WILD was absolutely fantastic -- I cannot say enough) and then probably GAME CHANGERS as a PD once it arrives. Then I'd really like to prepare a list of children's books that none of our local libraries have, yet -- things that haven't yet read, but that I've heard such good things about through our blogging community. Thank you so much for hosting #imwayr every week and I hope you have a wonderful 2019, Jen!

    1. P.S. By the way, your post title reads 1/31/2018, so I thought I'd mention the typo since it threw me off when I first saw it... :)
