It's Monday! What Are You Reading? 07/02/2018

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? From Picture Books to YA!

It's Monday! What are you Reading? is a meme hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. It is a great way to recap what you read and/or reviewed the previous week and to plan out your reading and reviews for the upcoming week. It's also a great chance to see what others are reading right now...you just might discover your next “must-read” book!

Kellee Moye, of Unleashing Readers, and I decided to give It's Monday! What Are You Reading? a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children's literature - picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels, anything in the world of kidlit - join us! We love this meme and think you will, too. We encourage everyone who participates to visit at least three of the other kidlit book bloggers that link up and leave comments for them.

Last Week's Book Adventures:
The good news is that I wrote a ton this week. I got through a few picture book first drafts and have been working on my revisions of my YA. The not so good news is that my library app returned the book I was reading and the book I was listening to. I'm on a waiting list to check them out again. I did start reading Meg Medina's newest book Merci Suaréz Changes Gears and am enjoying it so far.

Upcoming Book Adventures:
We don't have much planned for this week. No meetings, no workshops, no trips, no camps so I'm looking forward to some day trips and spending time with my boys. We got their Nerdcamp Jr. schedules so we have some reading to do. I'm hoping to read more of Merci Suaréz Changes Gears and to read A Dog Like Daisy by Kristin O'Donnell Tubb. I'll be writing too and getting ready for Teachers Write which starts next week! Woo hoo! I'm so excited. It's my favorite. If you aren't signed up yet, you can find all the information here. Please let me know if you have any questions.

  1. I also started reading Merci Suárez this week! I love the main character’s quirkiness and I’m excited to see where the plot goes. Happy reading!
