It's Monday! What Are You Reading? 11/9/2015

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? From Picture Books to YA!
It's Monday! What are you Reading? is a meme hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. It is a great way to recap what you read and/or reviewed the previous week and to plan out your reading and reviews for the upcoming week. It's also a great chance to see what others are reading right now...you just might discover your next “must-read” book!
Kellee Moye, of Unleashing Readers, and I decided to give It's Monday! What Are You Reading? a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children's literature - picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels, anything in the world of kidlit - join us! We love this meme and think you will, too. We encourage everyone who participates to visit at least three of the other kidlit book bloggers that link up and leave comments for them.

Announcements:
It's been a great week sharing How To Tell a Story!
Be sure to stop in at Cynthia Alaniz's blog today to see how her students enjoyed telling stories with How To Tell a Story. You can still join in on the fun and play The Why Game and come back tomorrow to share your stories! And be sure to enter the giveaway as well!
Last Week's Book Adventures:
I have no idea where the last week went! It seemed like it completely flew and here we are again! I did finish Another Day by David Levithan and loved being back in A and Rhiannon's story again. I'll be reviewing it soon so be sure and check back. I also finished Hidden by Helen Frost and was able to booktalk it to some 8th graders on Friday. Peanut and I are still reading The Genius Files at bedtime and my husband freaked out when The House on The Rock in the book is the same as The House on The Rock in Wisconsin. Pretty fun! I'm still rereading Everyday Editing and reading Children Want To Write. I'm starting Strange Tools: Art and Human Nature by Alva Noe.

Upcoming Book Adventures:
It's been so much fun to read The Genius Files with Peanut, he's just loving it. I plan to keep reading Everyday Editing, Children Want to Write and to see how far I get with Strange Tools: Art and Human Nature. I also have a few I would love to finish before NCTE so I have to get reading!
