Let's Celebrate Writing Progress...Again!

It's time to CELEBRATE This Week with Ruth Ayres from Discover. Play. Build.  Every week Ruth invites us to share our celebrations from the week and link up at her blog. What a fun way to reflect on everything there is to be thankful for.

This week I'm celebrating writing progress...again!

*throws confetti*

Tomorrow is the Teachers Write Sunday Check-In so I'll share more about what I've been writing this week then but I am feeling in a really great space and wanted to celebrate today. This week I dove into revisions...again. It was hard to get into the mindset of revising again but I really want to feel some sense of being finalized and ready to query so I made myself do it. I made it through the first chapter between Monday and Tuesday.

Here is a picture of what Tracey brought me with notes and wrinkles. There's something amazing about knowing that someone held it and spent time with it and that what I've written was read.

On Tuesday, my friend Tracey brought me her marked up copy and she shared her overall thoughts and we talked about some changes. And then I realized that Friday night my husband would be at the Bears game and if I asked my mom to take the kids, I could have time to write. I could go directly to Starbucks after work - the one near me that closes at 11:00 p.m. - and write.
That's exactly what I did. My friend, Amy, met me there and we wrote and wrote and wrote. I made major progress through this revision and am feeling momentum that will help me crank through the rest. Hooray!

What are you celebrating this week?
