TMT Spring Book Swap

The white package that kept calling to me...
Jen: The anticipation was awesome and excruciating all at once as I waited to be able to open my book swap package this time around! I tried avoiding the package until my husband finally said, "So, what are you doing with this?" And I had to tell him I couldn't open it yet and why and then he found a great, secret, hidey spot for it. But now we can share! I was lucky enough to receive two tome-ish looking books! One is Inkheart by Cornelia Funke and the other is Eon by Alison Goodman. I adore Inkheart and really enjoy all of Cornelia's books actually but Eon is completely new to me! I can't wait to dive in. Thank you to Andrea of Mrs. Payan Reads
To send to my book swap buddy, I chose The Emerald Atlas by John Stephens and a whimsical nature-themed bookmark for my gardening friend. I am a huge fan of fantasy and when I think of middle grade fantasy, The Emerald Atlas seems to be a book that didn't get much attention that I can remember. I really enjoyed the characters and so wanted to root for them after they get thrown into a crazy situation.

Kellee: I was so excited to open up my bookmark/book swap package. It is always so wonderful to receive books in the mail! My partner, Beth, did such a fantastic job! As she pointed out, I can be quite tough to buy for, but she really impressed. First, she got me A Tangle of Knots by Lisa Graff which everyone is raving about and I have not read yet. She also surprised me with David Sedaris's new book which I am so excited to read! She obviously had been paying attention to my most recent reading obsession. :) To top it all off, she sent me an inspirational bookmark and a card that has a tear away bookmark! Perfect for a book lover. Thank you Beth!
For my book, I had a hard time deciding what to send Amanda. I almost sent Hurt Go Happy again because it is not only a favorite book but a book I think is under appreciated, but I decided I shouldn't send the same book twice. So, I decided to send Everlost by Neal Shusterman. I love this series by him and I just adore everything he writes, but I just don't see him being swooned over the way he should be.  To compliment the unique ghost story that is Everlost, I sent murder mystery book marks. I hope she enjoys them!

Thank you to everyone who participated in our Spring Book and Bookmark Swap! We hope you enjoyed it and have another great book in your TBR to read soon!
