About the Author: Christy Dorrity loves to read about cooking and cook about reading. She was taught early to have discriminating taste for both books and food. Christy grew up on a trout ranch in Star Valley, Wyoming. She taught elementary school and lives in the mountains with her husband, Devon, and their five young children.  When Christy's not reading or writing, she's probably trying out a new recipe in the kitchen.

What I Think: When Christy Dorrity contacted me asking if I was interested in being part of The 2012 Book Blogger's Cookbook, I was so honored to be asked and I couldn't wait to see the final copy.

I love the idea of bringing books to life and specifically through food and Christy Dorrity does a brilliant job of mixing the two. Some examples: Trapped in a Bubble Bobo Drink for
Matched by Ally Condie, Deceptively Devilish Pops for Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare, and the two that I blurbed about:

Back When You Were Easier t...Lost in Love Chicken Alfredo Pizza for Back When you Were Easier to Love by Emily Wing Smith.
"Most teenagers fall into what they feel is the love of their life. This is a story about that obsession and heartbreak. Emily Wing Smith writes a story about this in a brilliant way- a mix of narration, flashbacks, lists, poetry and vignettes. I think many, many teenagers will connect with this book."

Divergent (Divergent, #1)Perfect Ten Dauntless Chicken Skewers for Divergent by Veronica Roth.
“What will first grab you in this novel is the factions that the author creates. With so much turmoil in our nation, many people blame different things. What happens when your choice of blame overshadows even your family? That is what Divergent is about. It is about choice. It is about selflessness. It is about strength.”

You definitely want a copy of this book and there are some really easy ways to get it right now...
