It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? 06/26/2023

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? From Picture Books to YA!

It's Monday! What are you Reading? is a weekly blog hop I co-host with Kellee and Ricki from Unleashing ReadersThe original IMWAYR, with an adult literature focus, was started by Sheila at Book Journeys and is now hosted by Kathryn at The Book Date.

It's a great way to share what you're reading and get recommendations. We encourage you to write your own post sharing what you’re reading, link up below, leave a comment, and support other IMWAYR bloggers by visiting and commenting on at least three of the other linked blogs.

Last Week's Adventures:
I read more of The One Thing by Gary W. Keller and Jay Papasan and listened to more of Crushing It by Gary Vaynerchuk. I also started rereading Show You Work by Austin Kleon as I’m thinking about pedagogical documentation which I learned about from Angela Stockman.

This Week's Adventures:

This week I plan to finish The One Thing and Crushing It and then I also hope to finish rereading Show Your Work and to read This is Marketing by Seth Godin.

Last Week's Adventures:
Last week I finished reading Bee Fearless and it had great advice for young and new entrepreneurs. I’ve been thinking about a literary nonfiction book club for 8th graders so I read a couple of nonfiction books. I listened to Finish by Jon Acuff and started reading The One Thing by Gary W. Keller and Jay Papasan and started listening to Crushing It by Gary Vaynerchuk.

This Week's Adventures:

This week my plan is to finish reading The One Thing and to finish listening to Crushing It. Then I’d like to read The House on Mango Street and to start Allies: Real Talk About Showing Up, Screwing Up, and Trying Again

Last Week's Adventures:
I finished reading Out of My Mind with my 6th grade class right on time! We read the last two chapters on our last day of school. It was a close call but we did finish. I’m still reading Bee Fearless and still listening to The Celestine Prophecy

This Week's Adventures:

My plan this week is to finish listening to The Celestine Prophecy and to finish Bee Fearless. I brought home The House on Mango Street to read because I’ve never read it. And I’m planning to start Allies: Real Talk About Showing Up, Screwing Up, and Trying Again. It’s a collection of short stories that I’m going to read with my son.

Last Week's Adventures:
This week I read a little bit of Bee Fearless and also continued to read Out of My Mind by Sharon Draper with my 6th grade class. We went on a road trip to Columbus and on the way back I started listening to The Celestine Prophecy. It’s a book I read before going off to college and I thought of it recently so I’m rereading it 25 years later!

This Week's Adventures:

I‘m interested to finish listening to The Celestine Prophecy and then my goal is to finish Bee Fearless this week so I can start the summer with a fresh reading plan. I have a short stories collection I’m going to read with my son so possibly I’ll get to start that this week.
