It's Monday! What Are You Reading? 02/24/2020

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? From Picture Books to YA!

It's Monday! What are you Reading? is a meme hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. It is a great way to recap what you read and/or reviewed the previous week and to plan out your reading and reviews for the upcoming week. It's also a great chance to see what others are reading right now...you just might discover your next “must-read” book!

Kellee Moye, of Unleashing Readers, and I decided to give It's Monday! What Are You Reading? a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children's literature - picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels, anything in the world of kidlit - join us! We love this meme and think you will, too. We encourage everyone who participates to visit at least three of the other kidlit book bloggers that link up and leave comments for them.

Last Week's Book Adventures:
Last week was a much better week than the one before. It was the end of the trimester so now we're starting trimester three! I can't believe how fast the year has gone and I'm sure it'll fly by. I read more of The Giver with students and now am starting Seedfolks. I

Upcoming Book Adventures:
I'll be reading with my students this week but I also have Internment by Samira Ahmed on audio to listen to.

So, what are you reading this week?

Last Week's Book Adventures:
Last week was the hardest week ever of the entire year. It was a four-day week, it was Valentine's Day, 8th graders dressed up on Thursday for their promotion pictures but we did start reading The Giver...and that's all I have to say about that.

Upcoming Book Adventures:
This week I'll be reading more of The Giver with my students and I'll be reading more of This Book is Anti-Racist.

Last Week's Book Adventures:
I'm still reading Inward and have read more of This Book is Anti-Racist

Upcoming Book Adventures:
My goal this week is to finish up both of the books I'm reading! I also would like to stop in at the library and pay a fine that I have so I can get access to audiobooks again...*insert sheepish grin here*

Last Week's Book Adventures:
This week I read The Give as a graphic novel...and while I appreciate the graphic novel version, it wasn't my favorite. It was borderline creepy which did make me rethink how I read the book but it wasn't my favorite. I also read some of Inward by Yung Pueblo but still have more to read.

Upcoming Book Adventures:
I'm looking forward to reading more of Inward this week. I'm thrilled to share that I added 500 words to my own novel this week and I plan to write more this week. Inward has helped me think about how far I've come as a writer and how to move forward. It's very thought provoking!

I also have This Book is Anti-Racist by Tiffany Jewell that I started reading and want to finish this week.
